The Alberta Main Street Program is an initiative of Alberta Community Development and the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation. We provide funding and expertise toward the conservation and revitalization of historic commercial areas using a comprehensive “Four Point Approach” in organization, design, marketing and economic development. Pioneered by the U.S. National Trust for Heritage Preservation and Heritage Canada, this approach based on the principle that sustainable heritage conservation and economic and social renewal of the historic downtown go hand-in-hand.
